APA_PLC Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello I'm working on my own OPC Server - now I use standard library (OPCDAAUTO.dll or another) to communicate with existing serwers (Siemens, Matrikon, DASServer). A few days ago I start testing/catching protocols sending from OPC Server to PLC/CPcard. NowI try find specification/description of datagram or how i can send/recieve questionsto/from PLC without OPC Server. The best for me is description how build this telegram to send and description about received telegram. Ofcourse in this telegram I need send what data read/write (M, DB, etc.)and response from PLC with actual value. Thank for help

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear APA_PLC, I am sorry, if you think about the use of S7-Protocol you need to know that this Protocol is not released for Public. If you try to reprogram this you do this on your risk. About the use of ISO on TCP, UDPand TCP Protocol we can say that the RFCs are known and open for the public, so if you want you can use at least these. Best regards J_Bell

Because whenI catch this telegram I see question with data (for example DB20,B0) and response with data - correct value. But before this data i see about 20 Bytes (send/recive). I think this is "place" in memory PLC (M, DB, T, C, ...). Then I need only this description to prepare my own telegram. [:D] If this description is not accessible then i must test every variableand try build something [:(] to send About this RFCs - where can I find this? Best regards APA_PLC

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear APA_PLC, the RFCs can be found at: http://www.rfc-editor.org/ About the S7-Protocol I can not help you... if you like you could add the feature of Fetch / Write, which is part of the Send / Receive Interface... but S7 Protocol...
