Hello, I am trying to communicate one S7-300 CPU 317-2 PN/DP V2.3 with a third manufacture equipament over Ethernet, using TCP connection. When Iinsertone new connection in NetPro and choosethe connection type as "TCP connection" one error messageappears "No corresponding CP exists on the local station" (attached picture). I tried to insert "UDP connection" onlyto test, but the same error messagewas showed. So, my question is: Need I insert one CP343-1 or can I use the integratedProfinet port ? I read in the following link that the CPU 317-2 PN/DP accepts TCP and UDP connection, but I could not insertthe connection. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23615960/td Anybody know what is wrong ? Greetings. |

Dear Denker Good news first, Yes, you can use integratedProfinet port for TCP or UDP communication. (maybe not so good news) you will however have to resort to so called Open TCP/IP communication (which are NOTconfigured in NETPRO and which requiere a bit more programming/setup effort). (hopefully rather good news again) have a look at this link which I trust will help with the configuration: Wizard for creating connection data for open TCP/IP communication.
