gigi_plc Bronze Member Joined: 12/14/2011 Last visit: 6/1/2023 Posts: 154 Rating: (11)	Hi to all, i am working with an application that have: - CPU 1515F - S120 drive with CU310 - External incremental encoder connect to SMC30 in drive CLIQ - TO_PositioningAxis in the program with TIA portal V15 Actually i am able to work if i use telegram standard 3 and telegram 81 in the hardware configuration. But if i try to use telegram 106 without the 81 in the technology object there is the error "configuration error" but not more information. Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 6/7/2023 Posts: 5535 Rating: (744)	Hello, when you try Telegram 106 the encoder needs to be assigned as 2nd encoder of the axis and not as external encoder DO (settings in STARTER). Please send a screenshot of your telegram configuration mask in STARTER. Please also note that you should configure IRT communication in that case and configure the PROFINET topology in the topology view ot TIA.

The topology and the IRT is configurated correctly. If i use telegram 81 and telegram 105 instead of standard 3 i have the same error. I replace the 105 and put standard 3 and all is ok. Did you assign the telegram to the MC Servo OB for synchronization? Please compile the PLC and send a screenshot of the messages.

gigi_plc Bronze Member Joined: 12/14/2011 Last visit: 6/1/2023 Posts: 154 Rating: (11)	Hi to all and thanks for your interest, here the picture with my hardware configuration, later a send to you the picture with the generic error ("configuration error") in the technology object. In the left side of the picture you can see that i am using also two measuring input with telegram 391 in isochronous mode. I don't know if this function can be the real problem with telegram 105 or 106. With telegram 3 it is working well. However if i rebuilt all, there are no error. In the moment "(No device selected)" so no information displayed. You can also look in the diagnostic puffer of the plc for some alarms regarding the configuration error. Have you change the Telegram at all positions? You must change it in HWConfig/Starter and in the technologyobject. Regards Christoph

The encoder configuration is not suitable for the DSC procedure, value not possible in Sensor[1].Existent e/o Sensor[1].Interface.Address[In, Out].RID e/o Sensor[1].Interface.Number.
