Technology object virtual leading axis with synchronized slave drives

Im planning to use the new Technology Object and motion function in TIA to set up a system with a S7-1516 and 5 siemens G120 CU250 with pulse encoder connected directly to the drives. The drives/motors are supposed to have synchronized position to each other. 

I will control the leading virtual axis in Jog-mode and I want the other 5 to follow its virtual position. I have added the virtual axis postition as leading value interconnection in all the slave drives. 

Which motion function am I supposed to use in the slaves to make them sync to the leading value interconnection position?

Another question is about the position pulse encoder. Since its just a pulse encoder and not a single/multiturn absolute encoder. If you shutdown the drive, power outage or just a reboot, does the drive keep track of the last position or do I need to do a new home pos calibration again?
