Telegram 370 communications problem

I'm in the process of commissioning an S120 drive system with an S7-1500 PLC.

I've configured the Active Line module to communicate to the PLC using Telegram 370 in Starter and added DPRD_DAT and DPWR_DAT instructions to the PLC program, the LADDR parameter of each instruction is correctly set to the HW ID of the Telegram 370 submodule.

When I run the PLC program there are no errors reported at the instruction RET_VAL parameters but no reading and writing of data to and from the PLC appears to take place when I monitor using watch tables in the PLC and by going online to the drive using Starter.

What am I doing wrong here?

What version of TIA are you using?

There is a standalone version of Starter. Are you keeping the PLC and Drive separately?

If you are keeping them separate, and using Put/Get see attached. For security they have to be enabled.

If they are part of the same file (all in TIA). Look under devices and networks. "Device view" Tab, select the drive in the combo box in that tab, and open the "Device overview" tab. There it will list the input addresses and output addresses that device is mapped to. You do not have to setup communications, that is what the hardware configuration does.

Bit 10 is set high in the PLC but it's not being received at the drive end according to Starter when viewing the telegram using the interconnections/diagnostics tab.

No errors are reported by the DPWD_DAT instruction at the PLC end.

OK, I've now got it working. So I needed to use the mapped I/O rather than block read and write instructions.
