pls check again that you don't mix/overwrite existing addresses in DB2 or in other places. I recommend differ I/O buffer as alone DB and other statuses in other DB f.ex. Mixing different datas together in one DB is sometimes critical, also with upgrade, reading, access option in future change...

I'm trying to make get communication between S7 1200 and S7 300. I want the S7 1200 controller to read some bytes from S7 300. I have S7 1214 and S7 300 with CP 343-1 Lean.In the attahced file is what I had made.

When I test the communication the S7 1200 PLC blinks several times in read and in diagnostic buffer is written: "  Temporary CPU error: Area length error in OB 1....". You can see it in second picture on the right.
Please help me, where I am wrong?

I guess you are trying to write in areas of your DB2 that doesn´t exists.

As per your screenshot you are going to write in DB2 from DBX4.0 to DBX35.7 (16 words), but you are also using DBX10.0, DBX10.1 and DBW8 for NDR, ERROR and STATUS of the block. this is inside of your 16 words area.

You are doing something wrong.

Have a look in DB2, or share a screenshot of it.
