Text alignment in faceplate: center text in relation to shape

dm@lead Member Joined: 7/31/2012 Last visit: 4/6/2025 Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	I have a question on this topic: How can I center the text (that is a editable field in the instance) in relation with a shape . I made a round lamp (graphic list) with a label (Text). The text layout is always defined as a X, Y position of the upper left corner of the text (without regards of its justification). So the text cannot be always centered depending of the length of the text or its font size. Is there a solution ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Text alignment in faceplate.

Which HMI System do you use (Comfort Panel/ RT Advanced/RT Professional/Unified)? Could you please give us a few more information what it should look like or which settings you use in the faceplate? If you have Comfort/Advanced the Text field has only these settings: Also this should have an influence of how the textfield changes its size: If you want to have always the same center, then you should not use autofit and you should use all center settings. If the text is to long you would have to change the textsize Bye Murof

There is not really HMI device, but touchscreen IFP 1200/1500 basic connected to the video/USB port of an open controller (ET200SP). Your solution seems to be the right one. Thank you again
