Text problem with Text Library

GregFritz Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	I'm trying to get text within my text library to split on to two lines. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I'm using a text reference on a button to the text library via a tag. Example: Metric Units needs to display as: Metric Units I've tried: Metric\r\nUnits, Metric\Units, Metric/r/nUnits, Metric/Units Nothing is working [:mad:] Any advice out there on how to get this done would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using only text references for the project text as it greatly simplifies getting multi-language features working much better. So basically I need a way to have the text within the text library displayed on two lines if need be. Disregard the fact I'm using a button, the problem is with any text coming out of the text library.

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	I've never done this but maybe you can try the following : create a static text object and assign a multi-line text value to it (using the method detailed in the FAQ). Then view the Properties of the static text object and go to the Font -> Text property. Then try copying the property value to the Text Library. This may not work but it's worth a try. Salma

Sydney Gold Member Joined: 1/4/2008 Last visit: 9/26/2024 Posts: 703 Rating: (96)	Hello, if you don't need to dynamicaly change the tag/value and the text library is used just for the language dependency, thepretty simpleway is to define the text as static value with the line splitting for each language, the text field has individual value for each language.If there's a lot of texts the Easy language or Text Export&Import can be used for multiple changes.
