Hello JMM; As far as a PLC is concerned, you have access to sample programs and documentation on communications between a CP 1430TF and a CP 343-1/443-1 (CPU S7-300 or S7-400). Where can you find sample programs and documentation for communication from SIMATIC S5 modules to SIMATIC S7 modules via Industrial Ethernet using the ISO transport protocol? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/47905848 Similarly, you can use a CP 1543-1 (on a S7-1500 rack) to connect to a CP 1430TF: Ethernet communication (ISO Transport protocol) between SIMATIC S5 and SIMATIC S7-1500 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109755544 If you are looking to connect your CP 1430TF directly to your PC, the information in the following discussion might be of help: S5 115U + CP1430 communication with WinCC v7.0+SP3 This old manual contains information on the NCM S7 software to connect to a PC, but I am not sure that it is available anymore; you might want to try a Support Request (link at the top of this page) if you want to ask Siemens techs directly: SINEC CP 1430 TF with NCM COM 1430 TF Volume 1 of 2 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/12586144 However, if you have established a link between your CP 1430TF and your S7 CPU, you might connect the PC to the S7 CPU and collect the data collected through the CP x43-1. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
