what's mean about BY 1? what's the difference about the 2 methods? can i use BY 2 or BY 3?

moreover you can have a start index higher than an end index and astep can be negative:

[code]FOR i:=10 TO 0 BY -1 DO[/code]

Or, which is quite weird, some (or all)numbers can be variables:

[code]FOR i:=myVar1 TO myVar2 BY myVar3 DO[/code]

Which cycle clock do you mean?

If you use the FOR instruction in cyclic task without any excessive code in it and with resonable number of iterations it is finished in microseconds range.

how to judge how long it will take?

I always check it on a hardware with help of system functions: _getInternalTimeStamp and _getTimeDifferenceOfInternalTimeStamps.

Never looked for different way to do this.
