Hi Chengyue, you can use for PCS 7 V7.0 and higher user defined FB from number 501. For the manuel and other PCS 7versions look here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/2771491 To avoid conflicts I would start by FB2001 or just check the libraries you prefer to use and start by a higher number than in this libraries exsist. |

With the addition of the new APL library, the range FB 0-2000 is reserved for the system. I prefer to start at FB2500 with you own custom blocks, as the libraries continue to being developed. You can also use DB's and FC's. The range for these is set in the "customize->compile/download" window, when you opened a CFC, under the options menu button. Standard, the range is set DB 1-60 and FC 60-700. |

Hi, under the this FAQyou can find information how you can change existing FB numbers. Unfortunately the FAQ is only in german available. But there is an applicationavailable where the same topic is described in an example. You can find the example in chapter 6. |

In my opinion, siemens should update the PCS 7 Power Control Library block reserved range in their Compendium Part A - Configuration Guidelines (V7.1/V8.0) , Guidelines on the range of numbers. The recomendation of user defined function block should be started with new range instead of FB2500 onward as it is occupied by Power Control Library. See attached with the Siemens function block guidelines. |
