Dear All,

I have WinCC Professional V14 and whenever i try to compile the WinCC project i get this error "The WinCC Runtime project cannot be created in a compressed folder".

I don't know what's the problem, i appreciate if someone could help me.

Unfortunately that didn't help.

My windows is 8 not 8.1,  i don't know if that's what causing the problem.

check the folder settings where the project is stored  in Windows Explorer.

Here the Windows compression should be disabled.

Hello,

Find the folder where the project is saved and apply these actions. You will have solved the problem.

1. Right-click the folder and select Properties.
2. In the General tab, select Advanced to open the Advanced Attributes.
3. Under Compress or Encrypt attributes, uncheck Compress contents to save disk space.
4. Press OK, then Apply.
