There is a way to do a remote control, between PLC and PC without a HMI device connected on the network?

Hi, There is a way to do a remote control, between PLC and PC without a HMI device connected on the network? I tryed include a HMI only in the program and run the application in run time mode, but the STEP7 don't work because doesn't find the HMI device.
