Hello kumar; Without a minimum of information on the type and model of drive you plan to use, this will have to remain a very general discussion. To use a 'single-sided' (non-redundant)DP-slave on a redundant H-system, you require a Y-link; This Y-link is built around a pair of IM 153-2 and a Y-coupler, all installed in active backplane supports. It acts as an interface between redundant H-system DP-masters and the standard Profibus-DP network you will run your drives on. Have a look here at the Description/Design tab of the following link, from the A&D Mall: https://mall.automation.siemens.com/WW/guest/index.asp?aktPrim=0&nodeID=9990035&mlfb=6ES7197%2D1LA04%2D0XA0&aktTab=4&lang=en This part no. is for the whole Y-link unit, complete; you do not have to purchase it element per element. You will find more infoprmation on the Y-Link (and other coupler systems) in the following manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1142696 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
