In addition to Daniel's comments, the converter converts the entire V-Memory to datablocks since it doesn't know whether a 0 is an actual value or the representation of a memory location that is not used. Also the 505 CPU RLL is converted to STL. Maintenance personnel that work on 505 CPUs do not have any experience with a structured text language. On the plus side the converter will transfer all of the I/O. It also creates FC's for timers and counters that operate the way the 505 controllers do which is different than an S5 timers. The PID block the converter chooses is the block from the Standard PID option package. I created a detailed conversion paper about 8 years ago.
