Hello everyone. I have to do a SCADA project that has the fallowing configuration (see attachment). We will use TIA 15.1 SP3 Professional. The client insist on saving all the data into an external SQL Server that will run SQL Server 2016 so in the future other software can pull from the SQL Database information. For a small project i would have used the example from this post : wincc connect to sql , but i estimate that i will have to save around ~600 tags every minute. 1. Is there a magical way i can change the default SQL that Wincc saves it's data to the external SQL Server ??? 2.If i use WinCC 7.5 can i solve the problem from question 1? 3.If the answer for question 1 and 2 is no, will saving 600 tags every minute in the external SQL server will be possible by script ? I mean can the wincc server handle it ? 4. If i save data by script will both of the WinCC servers will write in the external SQL server or just the master wincc server will and when he is down the standby wincc server will ? Can a redundancy be done with the external SQL server? 5.How do i save alarms ? How do i show trends ? in the external SQL server. 6. If i don't use the external SQL server, and i chose to use the "internal" SQL from my Wincc server can i make this an open database so other software can pull from it ??? I know there are a lot of questions but please please share your knowledge. Even an opinion is good. I'm in the dark here. Thanks in advance! |
