The whole thing is a bit of a dog. I have run it on an 1.8ghz XP machine and now on a 2.8 ghz quad core machine and both take a long time. Tom |

Hi, Performance is some relative. It’s depends not only of the PC but the user program and the sequence of the operations. The first time that you uses some “resource” is slow that the second time, because that the “package” was already load in the PC RAM. As comparison basis, for example, I have a Filed PG with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz and 2 GByte RAM.To open the STEP 7 Basic the first time takes 4 seconds, to open the follow projects others 5 seconds, to compile the first time 2 seconds and to download less than 20 seconds. The second time that I download the same project, it takes just 7 seconds. AttachmentChapa 1B HW.zip (885 Downloads) |
