Hi everyone,

I have the same issue. Tia portal V15 update 3 running on a VM (VMware Player 14.2) and Windows 7. My phisical machine runs Win10.

The system was working till a couple of months ago (last time I tried to connect to a phisical PLC). Now I am I/O checking a new plant. I can connect, I have an FC online or a Tag Table or anything else but after 20/40seconds it says "Connection Aborted".

I tried another PLC, a new network cable, an other port... If I Ping I can't see any interruption but in any case, after 20/40 seconds connection aborts.

I did not install any new software (Virtual machine in not connected to Internet so no automatic update). I have no firewall both in Virtual Machine and in phisical machine.

I also tried to reinstall VMPlayer, to reset ethernet connection... always the same issue.

Can anyone help me?

EDIT: the only think I did was to use PLC SIM. Does it make some interface change that can gives this error? (PG-PC Interface is configured properly)

My configuration is already matching thoose raccomandation (my virtual disk and project are on local hard disk, my network is already configured like that and I am not using PLCSim anymore).

Unfortunately nothing changed from yesterday :(

  I had na similar problem , in my case i need repair some drivers in the virtuaized adapter at host (not in Guest).

You mean update network drives? How did you fix the problem?

I still have not solved the issue. I tried to "repair" the installation but nothing worked.

I really don't know how to keep the connection up.

Do you have any suggestion for me?

I think it's worth trying the external usb-ethernet adapter (usb passthrough to vm). But I am not sure that in the near future I will have access to the PLC...

Hi!

USB-Ethernet adapter solves the issue. I used TP-Link UE300 (RTL8153 chipset), Virtualbox VM, usb passthrough to WinXP guest, and did not noticed any problems - no more aborted connections.

 Also, i tried paravirtualized virtio interface with no luck.
