TIA Portal + G120 +CU310-2 PN

Hi to all!

My question consider configuring drive G120 and connecting it with PLC S7-1200. Suddenly appeared some problems. To make understanding more clear, here the list of my hardware:

1. Control Unit CU310-2 PN
2. Power Module PM240-2 (G120)

    Article: 6SL3210-1PE21-8AL0

   3.PLC S7-1200 (CPU 1215C)

   4.Panel TP1200 Comfort

I was searching for the answers, and that’s my results:

1.)Configring the drive by the means of Startdrive v.4.5 SP1

The software successfully was integrated into my TIA Portal, but when I opened  Add new device->Drives, there was Sinamics G120 drive family, and in a sub-folder «Control Units» were only CU240-2 control units.

I wondered, that some S120 package should exist, and went for the answers to «support.industry.siemens.com».

Misfortunetly, I found this:

«SINAMICS Startdrive V14 S120 Option is now available for delivery. The product release is restricted. Please contact yourSIEMENS contactbefore ordering.»

Without any references for downloading.

2.)Configring the drive by the means of Starter

While installing this software a lot of errors appeared.

Than I also went to «support.industry.siemens.com» and found this:

So, as I understand there’s the only way to configure my system is through Starter sowftware, than export GSDML file, import it to TIA Portal and it’s done. Am I right?

P.S.: In a Siemens PM240-2 Product announcement pdf is written that S120 CU310-2  is compartible with PM240-2 since Firmware >= v.4.7 or >= v.4.8 .

And also G120 is coupled with CU240 in TIA Portal.

This circumstance makes some sense. So if  I’ve understood you in a right way, now my PM240-2 module belongs to S120 instead of G120 family.

Concerning the Starter errors. Here’s a list of it with explanations (in order in which they was appearing, and the actions which affected on it):

4.Error occurred while opening project! (ws7s:61525)

No project file

*Error occurred after opening created project. When I’ve created project, there is an empty window.When I’m trying to open it again, this error occurres.

I thought that I would be able to quickly understand what’s the problem and followed the advice, opened the logs and was amazed by it’s complexity. But I have no time to figure out what it is, the time is ticking.

Have any ideas what it could be?

Here the logs. Log and Log_1 are the same thing,

but after different installations (reinstalltion).

OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64

Oddly enough, but your advice helped!

Ordinarily, there is some problems with destination folder,

but not with the source folder.

At least, installation was successful
