there should be a function setPLCMode used for this.

If you have configured the S7-1200 right, you can power up the CPU and it will RUN (If there is no error)

Go to properties of S7-1200 CPU -> Startup -> 'Startup after POWER ON: Warm restart - RUN"

Just wondering if there is any way to put a S7-1200 in RUN mode without the need of a P.C

Power off - on.

If selected in configuration and CPU is without error, it will go to RUN.

I hope this will help:

1. Configure an event with function "SetPLCMode".

2. Provide "Connection" argument.

3. Set the Mode argument to "RUN" or "STOP" as per the requirement.

You can also use "Web Server" & "TIA Automation Tool" to change PLC Mode.

Thank you to everyone who has answered, i asked because a client of mine who is also a programmer lost his laptop and wasent able to put his machiene on and he had a hmi basic, its good to know that the option is avalible
