Blocks have some differencies with using connection, first use one connection with all instructions, second use independed connections to Send and Receive.

I see no problem use different Automation SW usage on 2 independed HWs connected together. Instructions/blocks must make proper connection and data exchange via defined protocol and interface. You need correctly define connection cfg on both sides (as depends to Automation SW) and create comm blocks with required buffers. In other case you can look for some examples here on Forum, maybe also 2 independed examples with different prj due HW.

Update: sry, pls can you give info what are that PLCs? You've mentioned not TIA, they are in other Step7 prj?

look, I ask about CPUs type because in case of also S7-300 in TIA you can use AG_SEND/RECV blocks from TIA Comm library. My mentioned TCON, ... blocks can be used for S7-1200/1500, check of course TIA help.
