TIA Portal V11 + old PLC

Stapro Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hi, Wehave receivedthe new TIA Portal V11. We have to visualize a process, but this process is using PLCs that are no longer supported in TIA Portal V11. We'll use CP-cards (343-1 lean)to communicate with these PLCs. Our question is if we can download the hardware configuration using Step7 professional V5.5 and communicate using TIA Portal (WinCC) V11? Best regards, Stapro

All that we perform with no listed module, will not get offitial support. As theory, it should be possible to go online, copy blocks from an online HW to offline. Maybe also go online on a block based in a different CPU. I would like to test to go in "Online access" and copy some online blocks to a different HW offline, but I couldn't (this function doesn't work in my Virtual Machine). Maybe someone could perform this test. What I tried was to go online with an offline S7-300 CPUthat correspond the address of a online ET200S CPU and "see what happens": Unhapply I couldn't build up a rigth connection (message "Not compatible"). So, at list in this momment, a very nice theory, doesn't works in the practice.
