TIA Portal V11: Unable to go online with S7-1200

When using TIA Portal V11, I'm having trouble going online with a S7-1200 PLC through Ethernet IP communications. I was given an existing project to open, but when I right click on the device and select "Go Online" no configured access nodes appear under this controller (see slide 1 of attachment). However, when I go to: Online -> Accessible Devices, both the PLC and HMI appear. I am also able to ping both the PLC and HMI IP addresses. Any suggestions?
