Tia Portal V13 and problem with update 2

viper_lasser Experienced Member Joined: 7/5/2010 Last visit: 11/29/2022 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	I have installed TIA V13 and when i select check update online and try to install this update (update 2) then during installation I can't install this update. I have only installed TIA V13 without any updates. What can be reason for this sittuation. On second pc I havn't this problem. Update 2 can be normally installed. Did you close portal once you launched the updater?

ronski Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	@viper_lasser i see that the required space is 0 in your screenshot. It should show 125MB or something. Maybe a 'rights' problem? Or did you install TIA v13 on removeable media/network share? regards, Ron

If I recall correctly, I had a similar problem installing the update. My solution was to download the update and install manually instead of using the updater. For some reason, I did not require running as administrator to install correctly, so maybe Siemens is getting better about not requiring admin rights to use their software.

Try doing a "repair" on the V13 installation in control panel \ programs and features. Have you installed Update 1? If not, maybe installing Update 1 will fix V13 and allow Update 2 to be installed.
