TIA Portal V13 failed installation

I had a problem installing the latest version of the portal, on account of some problem with the graphics, I guess, not necessarily related to the install. So it was after the initially requested reboot in install. There was the crash, I had the BSOD and now it won`t restart the install, it is looling for an .msi file and not finding it. (See picture) I would need to maybe be able to delete the initialization files and start fresh. Anyone can help me with the location of all that. Thanks. Attachment Install Error.jpg (785 Downloads)

We get the following error on BSOD: DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATION The file involved in the error is s7oppinx64.sys. Thanks in advance for every suggestion! Best regard, Carlo

burlecus Regular Member Joined: 5/25/2009 Last visit: 9/19/2024 Posts: 18 Rating: (2)	Howdy doodie. Got to the end of this, eventually, kicking out a registry entry and then rebooting. It installed without a problem thereafter. If you notice in the error window, you have it mentioning a .msi installer, namely 93513.msi, I would imagine that for other installation this number changes. Searched inside the registry for 93513.msi and is seems that Windows creates a sort of an install folder there, keys, whatever they call them. You can see that every install that you made has a corresponding folder there too. Since, in our case, we are talking about a failed install, just delete that all - back all of the registry up, just in case - and reboot. If there is not a deeper root problem for your install failing, this oughta' fix it. Scoobie Le Doo.

Weng Sin 85 Posts: 1 Rating: (1)	I had follow N1ghth4wk method. It work well now. My problem is: I had install the Step 7 V13 professional, and its running well. But when i upgrade to Step 7 Professional SP1 V13, my computer blue screen and come out the error below: s7oppinx64.sys DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATION What i do is follow N1ghth4wk method: 1) rename the file '' s7oppinx64.sys '' in below directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Siemens\Automation\Simatic OAM\Drivers and C:\Windows\System32\drivers 2) restart computer 3) install the Step 7 Professional SP1 V13 again 4) Done remark: the installation need to wait quite long, please be patient as long as harddisk is running.
