Dear all ,

i am using tia portal v13 update 1,i haved failed to program a s7-1200 plc using ethernet. when i check for accessible devices, my software is able to find the device, just cannot program and download it.

Hi,

in the first screen in the output at the end thew SW is talking about 2 problems.
please take a look which problems ar meaning an solve it.

on the right site is a scroll bar so check which problems occurrs.

do i need to preinstall the tia portal v13 basic first? since i straight install the professional version, will this be an issue for this problem?

Just another point to check,If you are sure that product code of your selected CPU in software is exactly as the actual hardware, just try to select different Firmware versions.It works in older TIA versions.

If this trick did not work, I suggest starting again with a Checklist to 1st time online access to S7-1200:

S7-1200 / STEP 7 Basic - Check list for first online access

Follow the steps carefully as described there if this is the 1st time.To access to S7-1200,it is possible with STEP 7 Basic V13.

2 PC Ethernet card configurations:
It is possible to have more than one Ethernet card on the same PC. However to avoid problems in Windows, for test proposes, let just one enabled. Note (enable/disable in the network configuration, not just with wireless button).
Check if the enabled Ethernet board have the protocols: Profinet IO RT-Protocol , Profinet IO RT-Protocol(LLDP), Simatic Industrial Ethernet (ISO), TCP/IP
For test proposes too, I suggest to set a fix IP address to the for test proposes.

how to check the ethernet board have these protocols??
