Today while I am using slider in WinCC Adv and simulate running for TP1200, I found set dynmaic value for max value or min value for slider is not working, it will make the HMI stuck on an unstable status.

I found it not working in pop screen, so I tried in normal screen, it is also not working.

The dynamizing tag is from S7-1500, I thought the reason is the tag is from PLC and it is DINT value.

So  I take some time test:

1. Using DINT INT PLC tag as dynamizing max or min value: get stuck.

2.Using DINT INT internal tag as dynamizing max or min value: get stuck.

3. At last, I found slider is not working any more.

Could you reproduce this problem?

I am using TIA Portal V15.1 upd3 in Win7.

Did you check on real hardware or on simulators? The simulator is working fine.

I created a new project and test in simulator it is working well. I think it is the problem of my project. I think I need recreate a brand new project. The old project was migrated from TIA V13.

Or is there any other way of reset it? I will try delete objects one by one  to find where the problem it is.

update:

1.  I tested in a VM it is fine but it has a little bug.

2. I will update info later.

A few thoughts:

• when updating a project from an old version, the version of Runtime remains old, you need to select a new version
• Compile -> Software (rebuild all) sometimes helps

I had done the two points before, it works for most situation. Before I leave a site for home, I will compile all and download all.

WinCC Advanced or Comfort Slider Problem

When I try to create a faceplate including a slider, I found in following circumstance the slider would crash the runtime. (TIA Portal V15.1 upd3 in Win7.)

When the dynamic “Tag for maximum “is 10 times large than static “Maximum scale value” (default is 100), the runtime will freeze and hang. It will bring unexpected behavior. Like “Maximum scale value” =100, “Tag for maximum” =1000.

Also, when the dynamic Tag for maximum is changing, the scale mark will NOT change accordingly, its layout will stay with static maximum value.

Please check with minimum value as well whether this similar problem exists.

To avoid this problem, I had to set a very large value for default max value, but scale mark will not be visible in most cases.

I also test slider in TIA Portal WinCC V15 Professional and WinCC 7.4 SP1, in their system, slider works well.

Could you reproduce this problem?

If you could reproduce, please report to Siemens, as I do not live in Germany right now, cannot contact the right person.

WinCC Unified will come, please fix this problem, later TIA team may not put so much energy in old versions.

I also posted a post before but not clearly described the problem, if someone could reproduce I will ask moderator to merge the topic.
