Hello all,

I have a project in TIA Portal V17 (Win10Pro, FieldPG M5) containing: 1 PLC CPU1215C, 1 HMI KTP700 Basic, 1 PLC CPU1515-2PN and 1 HMI TP1200 Comfort and some PNIO devices. Basically there are two identical machines, only the IP addresses differ so this list is actually multiplied by 2. Everything was working fine, I was developing the project from the beginning, no problem at all. At a certain point in time, after some minor changes on one of the TP1200 HMI (added a couple of IO fields and one symbolic IO field on one screen) this HMI is impossible to be downloaded again. All the error message I get is: Error during download. Contact Siemens Customer Support. (see attached screenshot). Download is on PN/IE interface. Strange enough, download to the other TP1200 Comfort is working fine.

Any ideas what could I try?

Have you tried to download a new project to the panel? Same behaviour?

I haven't tried downloading a new project, because the machine is running at the moment., but I will when I get a chance. I did try to delete the IM folder of the project, doesn't help.

Update: I've changed the download settings from PN/IE to Ethernet, this way the download was fine. Then I've changed it back to PN/IE again, still works. Looks like I've found the workaround for this problem.

Yeah, TIA Portal sometimes does some weird things hihihi. Glad to know that everything now works as expected and thank you for sharing the workaround you found.
