DILLIGANESH Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	hi friends, I am using siemens s7 315 cpu for my project i want to do PLC Programming, i have both TIA PORTAL V12 and SIMATIC Manager V5.5 software i need a suggestion which software is best for programming and why that software is best for this cpu

There are no disadvantages in both tools. In TIA Portal you can use the S7-1200 and S7-1500 which have the best performance and you can use the newest software functions. billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (120)	You did not mention an HMI. If you were going to use a Siemens HMI now or in the future (Basic or Comfort panel, WinCC RT Advanced or WinCC Professional), TIA Portal is the best choice, since it also programs the HMI. Good Luck, billwest
