Hello everyone I'm experiencing some issues with my tia scout (4.4.0.11). The LAD/FDB editor is not opening when I try to open a program block. The problem appears to be identical as described in this patch: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ae/en/view/109745779 Installation of this patch fails (see log txt). Note that i have no V4.5 of simotion scout installed, I do have the more recent V5.1.0.1 scout & tia scout installed. Any ideas? Hello, ok this is not good. The S7 Professional 2017 install some newer Common Tools which used from Step7 and Simotion Scout / Simotion Scout TIA. The problem is that the old Scout /Scout TIA V4.4 is not compatible with the new versions. So you can do: Uninstall Simotion Scout V5.1 and Step7 Professional (include all packages from the Professional like s7-Graph) Install Step7 professional without S7-Graph (if you don't need it), then Scout V5.1 , then it should work. Open a support Request and report this to the Customer Support , it can be that some HF or Patch is available for this problem.

I had an almost identical problem, and I just wanted to post my solution in case it can be of use to someone in the future. I got the following response from Siemens tech support and it fixed the issue for me right away. ===================================================================== Please download and install HF5 for Step7 V5.6: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/us/en/view/109759316 Yes, I realize you reported a problem in Scout TIA, but I found a problem report from development that identifed the Step7 V5.6 as a potential source of the problem in Scout TIA, HF5 is supposed to correct it. ===================================================================== Good luck! |

I had some problems too with V5.1.0.1 scout, but then I installed V5.2. Try to install this new version.
