TIA Selection Tool Standalone wont start

As described, program is stuck at the splash screen "Service Loaded...". No events registered in the event viewer and no errors. Windows 10 and Tool version 2017.1.1.42235. Nothing indicated in any of the tool log files. New laptop, so the tool has never run on this computer before.

SelectionTool.exe is running in task manager with no issues. Stopping the program removes the splash screen.

Any ideas would be helpful.

TIA Selection Tool needs Windows 7 and .NET Framework Version 4.0.30319.1100 or higher.

Hello,

I got this error this morning with TIA Selection tool.

I tried to uninstall it, download it back, but I get the same error.

I found the above post telling to have .NET V4.0 minimum.

So I tried to download latest .NET framework which is V4.7.

I already have this version, so I did a repair.

Same error...

Any ideas?

I had the same issue and found a solution that worked for me. Starting the TIA Selection Tool with Administrative Privileges (Right click, Run as Administrator) does the trick.

I had same problem....

The antivirus firewall was blocking the Selection tool. After I added Selection tool in exception list everything was OK.
