TIA Updater doesn't connect the server

the problem is that the update 1 is not enough for me...

i use TIA Portal 15.1 update 4 (see attachment)...

do you know were is possible download the update 4 from forum siemens site?

A fellow forum user with updater problems fixed their problem.  Today, they posted how.

Something about Windows 10 (newer versions) default to .NET 4.7 which is not compatible with the updater (and other stuff).

Rolling back to an earlier version of Win10 corrected the problem (along with something else I think).

Worth reviewing it to see if there is anything in common with their system and yours.

It hasn't worked for a while on my computer. I have Internet access. The updater just keeps saying "unable to connect to the server"

What is the servers address? I'll see if I can ping it from here...

 NetFxRepairTool  from microsoft helped me. After running NetFxRepairTool, updater is going online. Thanks

 i read and i read many answers from this forum and this fix the problem for me NetFxRepairTool, works for me!!!

i download from microsoft page, install the package, i  reset my computer and its working now.

i have a virtual machine with windows 7 x64, and now it´s ok,, thanks to all..

I have got a problem with TIA Portal Updater. I have an error "Unable to connect the server". I've tried to open Updater as administrator but it didn't help. I've also tried to reinstall TIA Portal but it didin't help either. My administrator checked and no firewall blocks the connection. Anyone has an idea what to do?

 Well it did not work for the lucky me...

 What version of TIA do you have installed on your PC? after you install v16,  the updater starts working again.

i had the same problem. i tried some of the suggestions here like firewall rule etc. nothing worked.

i updated manually tia to up.4. and startdrive 3 (don't know if it matters, just refer to what i did) and tia updater is working now.

There was the same problem with Windows 10. I tried to disable the antivirus and Windows firewall, but the problem still remained. Updated from TIA V15. 1 to TIA V15. 1 Update 4, and now I can find updates and install them. It seems that this was originally a problem related to the enhanced security of Siemens, not Windows.
