TIA V12 and S7-300 SWR

medaadi Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hello, i have to desgin a S7-300 SWR system, i don't know if i have to work with old versions (STEP 7 v5 + SW Redundancy licence and WINCC 2008) or i can switch to the new versions (TIA Portal V12) ? can TIA Portal support SWR licence add-on? Thanks

Process diagnostics S7-PDIAG S7-PDIAG blocks (FB44, DB44, …) are migrated but are marked as not supported. These blocks can be downloaded, but cannot be edited. The message texts and address monitoring instances are not longer available in the STEP 7 (TIA Portal) project. H systems Multiprojects (only separate projects can be migrated) See also the FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/62100731 So in this case it is better to use STEP 7 V5.5. One the one hand you want to use your visualisation Software that can be WinCC Flex 2008 or TIA Poral Win CC depending which panel you are using. On the other hand you want to use Step7 in combination with SWR. Only the classic world is working. SWR is not available as an Addon for TIA Portal. And the worst thing on that, it is not possible to migrate the blocks from the SWR because they are locked. So the only way will be use STEP 7 5.x for your project Good luck ! H_a_m_m_y
