TIA V13 installation problem. Windowns need to be reboot

I encounted a problem during pre-installialltion of TIA V13.Upon loading the setup file ofTIA V13a message windows pop up " You must restart computer before you can run setup" but every timei reboot the systems seemnot loading it just give me black screen. Kindyl advice is their missing files i needed to install beforeintallingTIA V13 software. What are the prerequisites needed? Thanks.

JoeVV Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi Ammie, I recently bought Laptop which I suppost to use for my Siemens programming. I upgraded from T410 to T440p.It sounds mysterious to me what is the problem. When i click the setup icon a priliminary system check is being initialized by TIA Portal installation menu and then a message prompt appeared system requiries to REBOOT. After rebooting,Windows did not load properlly. I tried 5 timesresult areall thesame. Anyoneknows what is thereason?

Michael K Gold Member Joined: 9/3/2008 Last visit: 11/30/2024 Posts: 928 Rating: (163)	After you followed FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/8861819 and you rebooted Windows, did you find that the "PendingFileRenameOperations" entry was recreated? If so, try to follow the FAQ again, but this time do not reboot but just start the installation. On some computers I have seen some installed programs create temporary files in the "PendingFileRenameOperations" every time Windows was started. Regards

Vaibhav1 Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Thanks Michael. Yes, it did come back in the registry. Re-tried this time, without rebooting. Unfortunately, doesnt work either. Also tried pausing the Siemens jobs from "Services". Now uninstalled V12 ... still cant install V13.
