TIA V13 Questions about event type, event number and IO fields

Hi all,

I am using Wincc V13 for my project. My problem is that i have to update value in IO field after pressing button and also want to change this value in my recipe. i have one referance project with me and i am added one more field in the old project but the field i have added is not updated after pressing the button and old IO field updated with no issue. For update the value there is one VB code for this. What you think what will be problem?

What is the use of Event type and event number please explain?

Can two or more IO field have same event number?
