I'm here to request assistance, please.

I've been having problems simulating an HMI screen.

I've set the corresponding tags for the PLC and HMI linked to the PLC's, and set the HMI connection between them. The HMI has several screens to check if the simulation is properly working, and I think it is because it actually changes screens, and even shows the animation (red for low level or zero) of the indicator. But I press the HMI button and it pops the "tag could not be written" alert, so it doesn't change to green (high level or one). I mean, I know it's weird that at first it says that is has disconnected, but the fact that lamp is red it means is reading something, or am I wrong?

I even set the PG/PC configuration to S7ONLINE(STEP 7)  --> PLCSIM S71200/S7-1500.TCP.IP.1 in control panel.

which SW Versions you use exactly?

is PLCSIM running and the project is loaded?
The PLC is also simulated?

 They're all V16 standard.

Yes it's running properly, and actually, I can connect TIA with Factory IO and it works fine. I ran a test using HMI, but the indicator doesn't change even after being activated through Factory. So the HMI is not reading PLC either.

Yes, both are simulated. In the first project, the tags are set with M, and in the second are with I, because Factory inputs are with I.

I saw in another post like this that someone solved it by configuring the access to the PLC from "no access" to "HMI access", but I can't find where to configure that. Do you know where could I find that to give it a try? I'm just started to learn the software.

I checked it, and I added the PC Station as shown in the example, but I couldn't connect it to the rest of the devices. It didn't show the profinet port. I even tried the other PG configuration they said. But no results of progress, sadly.

I found out that I can simulate S7-300 with HMI, it was pretty easy and fast. MPI protocol seems to be working without problems, but profinet is the opposite. 

Do I need to download a driver or something?

the project from the first post work correct in simulation (PLC AND HMI) on my install

are you sure that you have only v16 installed and used?

because the pg/PC name you use in the first post is never from V16, this was used in V13/V13 if i remeber correctly

Did you ever configure the software in any special way before? I know may be unlikely, but I can't think anything else.

Yes, I think I'm sure, I'll attach a capture showing the versions, and everything else is also V16.

I set that PG before because I saw it in some other post in these forums, but not even with the other one worked.

It might be my computer, is not that great. At least I can simulate with MPI protocol, I'll be fine with this for my classes in the meantime.
