So, I believe this is indirect tagging, but correct me if I am wrong.

I want to show the value of the tag "!!!_Value" in an IO field, where !!! is any reference from AAA-ZZZ.

The "_Value" part of my tag is always the same, so for my output all I need to do is change the first three letters.

So I made a tag called "Bob" if Bob is a text tag I can write to him very easily -

SetTag "Bob", SmartTags("Tagname")+"_Value"

Then I come to put Bob in to an I/O field. I remember there used to be a tickbox marked 'indirect tag' - that seems to now be gone.

I can only put Bob in as a text tag, and he correctly outputs "AAA_Value" / "BBB_Value" / "CCC_Value" etc.

So... how can I convince WinCC advanced that poor old Bob isn't a text and that he is a pointer to another value?
