H.Sh Advanced Member Joined: 1/6/2010 Last visit: 12/10/2024 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have tree station 1) CPU 315 2dp with Tim 3V IE DNP3 2) CPU 312 with Tim 3V IE DNP3 3) CPU 312 with Tim 3V IE DNP3 I try to use cpu 315 2dp with Tim 3V IE DNP3 as master & others as stations but I cant make s7 connection because Tim 3V IE DNP3 dose not support s7 connection & Tim 3V IE DNP3 cant be master . help me how can i send & receive data between master & station with this hardware. As i know the only way we can use DNP3 master is using SINAUT CC With PCS7 software + CP 1613A2/CP1623 (Attachment) ,Am i right or not? I got Confused. please give me the right configuration. Sprawl Posts: 58 Rating: (10)	H.Sh because Tim 3V IE DNP3 dose not support s7 connection Of course the TIMs support S7 connections, but you got no way to configure one manually - other than ST7 that is. With the hardware you got there's no way to get a connection. The better question yet: Why do you have DNP3 slave modules without a master?

Sprawl Posts: 58 Rating: (10)	PCS 7 TeleControl is capable of beeing a DNP3 master, but i rather doubt it makes sense with a setup this basic. We are talking about an ethernet connection right? Any kind of ethernet CP should do the trick.

I want to buy pcs7 telecontrol & cp; so i have be sure to by those HW & SW, now what can i do?

Symfairy Posts: 118 Rating: (11)	Dear H.Sh, in my opinion this is ok, don't forget that you also need the SINAUT Engineering software to configure the connections and the data communication. I would suggest you to ask someone from Siemens in your region to help you to buy the right products to be sure you've got everything right.
