TIM 3V module communication problem

Kanag's Posts: 54 Rating: (2)	Dear All I'm using Sinaut S7 TIM 3V module 6NH7800-3AA00 to communicate with ABB HMI through IEC 870-5-101 protocol. The module is connected to the CPU 315-2DP through backplane internal MPI. I'm using ParaM tool (for VICOS RTU) to parameterize the TIM module. The .par file was saved & .awl file was generated. The .awl file was imported as source file through external source in to the Step 7 program. The source file was compiled. The blocks were downloaded in to the CPU. The TIM module restarted. After restart, the K-Bus LED flashes for some time. Once again the module restarted and again the module behaves in the above mentioned way. The module is not communicating to the destination node. Can anyone please help me in this regard? Regards, Kanag

Kanag's Posts: 54 Rating: (2)	Hi Everybody I got the solution. The problem was the hardware config had the profibus DP slave devices which was not physically connected to the PLC. When it is loaded in to the TIM it creates the fault. Then the nodes which are not connected are removed from the HW config and before downloading in to the TIM again the module has to be resetted (by means of hardware switch). After that the TIM started to communicate. Hope this will be useful. -Kanag

I have to give the datasfrom our system to the other system which is having the IEC 104 protocolhow it is possible ? Our systemhaving PROFIBUS & IND.ETHERNET protocol. In this casethe TIM module is helpful to us.

Kanag's Posts: 54 Rating: (2)	Hi samkcr Yes, TM module will definitely help you in this. The TIM module supports both IEC 870-5-101 and IEC 870-5-104 protocols. The new TIM provides an integrated Ethernet interface with the IEC 870-5-104 protocol. In addition to Ethernet interface it supports serial communication also.
