Time Delay Interrupt

joaofaro Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello all. I want to work with time delay interrupt OB. Now I am trying a simple example to understand how it works but it's not working. My time delay interrupt OB should increment a variable and should be executed every 5ms but the variable is always 0. Can you help me, please? See attachment. Can you help me, please? See attachment. In QRY_DINT block the status showed during execution has 16#0014, apparently it is ok. In looking at your main block and reading your description of what you want it to do, they are not matching. The logic says wait 5ms from the time this block is executed in the main logic scan, then trigger this block to run. The description states every 5ms, run this block. They are not the same unless your scan time is 0ms. Now as to why it does not work, maybe you can toggle the state of a bit when the count reaches some valuein your delay interrupted block and watch it in the main loop or in a watchlist. I propose the value you compare is 1 and you look at the value before adding 1 to it. Now, if you really want something to run every 5 ms, create a interrupt OB that runs every 5ms and have it do your incrementing. If 5ms does not work, try 10ms. With the relatively limited power of the s7-1200 plc family, lower interrupt time values may cause problems or not run properly. Do you have anything showing up in the diagnostics buffer to indicate any problems with your interrupt block not working or getting lost?

joaofaro Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Thank you for the help! I tryed a cyclic interrupt OB and it works but now I face another problem. I have a user page, where I can write and read values to/from PLC. The WWW block is in the main block (OB1), in the first instruction. Since I added a cyclic interrupt OB to the project I can't access to Introduction page (or any other) of the PLC, when I type the PLC IP in my browser, he fails the connection. Before I add the cyclic interrupt OB the user page worked fine, I could access to the page and read/write values. Why this is happen? Could be synchronization problem? How can I solve it?

You can try increasing the system overhead from the default of 20% to something like 30 or 40%to see if that improves the www response. Is it possible the www block in your plc is no longer being called after the restructuring?
