Time Sync problem with ET200S PN CPU

I activate embeded in Windows NTP-Server and set ip adress of the PC in the HW-config of ET200S, but time in the CPU is not syncronised with the PC. Please help me to find the solution! Thanks.

tomearp Posts: 51 Rating: (3)	have you checked that any firewall software running on the PC is allowing incoming NTP requests? you need to allow UDP traffic on port 123 for NTP requests to be allowed through. have you come across a piece of software calledWireshark? it lets you capture network traffic. you could use it to monitor what happens when the CPU makes an NTP request, and will let you see if the PC is responding or not.

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	The problem is, that PC is not reconized as NTP-master (i guess it's not syncronized by itself), so CPU doesn't "want" to syncronize with unsyncronized clock. Try http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/38112948

All settings of NTP-time server was made as recommend Microsoft, but PLCs time is not syncronised with PC. I also use another PS as time-client, time sync dont't work too. I hope scan of ports with nMAP will help me

Try http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/38112948 Big Thanks! Time synchronisation is worked correctly now, all settings was made as Aret recommend. I also found a source of my problems-there are another time-sync program wasinstalled on time-server PC-station.
