Time synchronisation bug CPU - HMI re introduced in SP2 V2.2 ????

xBigGx Posts: 68 Rating: (0)	Hi, In an attempt to solve an [url=/tf/WW/en/Posts/67278#top]issue[/url] on a S71200 CPU, I did an update to firmware SP2 V2.2. After the update I checked the project and everything was working ok. Then I made a minor change to a screen on the HMI pannel (KP300). To upload this change the system had to make an update on the operating softwareon the HMI pannel. From then on I noticed that time synchronisation between CPU and HMI was no longer working. Also DTL tags are displayed like ################# instead of the correct value. To create the time synchronisation I folowed [url=http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/39182145]this[/url] instructions. This is EXACT the samesynchronisation bug that was resolved in SP1 [url=http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/52258326?Datakey=47071380]update 2[/url], V2.1. I think something in the structure of the date/time DB and by recreating them, it fixes the problem you are seeing. Please post whatever you do that finally resolves the problem.

I was thinking exact the same thing ! ;-) In the past I had the same problem with this and after doing the suggested updates I had to [URL=/tf/WW/en/Posts/62904]reload[/URL] the DB to get it working.

xBigGx Posts: 68 Rating: (0)	After consulting my reseller and uploading my program to a Siemens engineer they returned it after replacing all the symbolic links with absolute links... They also reloaded the DB with the 'standard S7-300 compatibility' option ... I think this was a workaround for the bug in SP1 Update 1 ... However again I deleted my own DB and just reloaded it and relinked the vars. Then simply downloaded it again and all works again .... So .... if you have an existing program on a 1200 CPU and after any kind of update you notice that time synchronisation with the HMI suddenly fails ... delete your DB and rebuild it exactly as you did before. Download the program (CPU and HMI)and all should start working again .... Regards, G
