Hi,

I have a problem synchronising my local PLC time (1511) time to an HMI (KTP900 basic).

I'm getting the error "Date/time could not be set, error code: 13,7.".

When I connect a 300 or a 400 PLC exactly the same way, it works perfectly.
Also when I integrate the HMI into the PLC project is works fine.

But when I use the HMI as a standalone machine its not synching.

So does anybody know what a solution might be?

Have you seen this:

70011 The system time could not be modified.

The error alarm only appears in connection with

area pointer "Date/time PLC". Possible causes:

•An invalid time was transferred in the job

mailbox.

•The Windows user has no right to modify the

system time.

If the first parameter in the system alarm is

displayed with the value 13, the second parameter

indicates the byte containing the incorrect value.

Check the time which is to be set.

Possible remedy:

Using Windows NT/XP: The user executing WinCC

flexible Runtime must be granted the right to change

the system time of the operating system.

It looks the problem is byte 7.

But why does it work fine with the 400 PLC?
That excludes the right "rights" argument, right?
(great alliteration by the way ;-)

See the attachment, the STRUCT format is the same in the 1500 PLC as it is in the 400 PLC.

In the 1500 or in the HMI?

The HMI is configured as the attachtment.
When I change the connection to the 300 or the 400 it works.

As an attachment the layout of DB8, in the 1500 and in the 400 PLC.

I now know that it's got something to do with the "Data Type" of the Global Area Pointer.

When I include a PLC in the project, I can set the "Acces Mode" to <symbolic acces> and my Data Type becomes the format "Date_And_Time".
If I switch back to <absolute acces> the data type stays on the format "Date_And_Time".

BUT when I use the project without a PLC, so as a stand-alone HMI, the "Acces Mode" can't be changed to <symbolic acces>. It stays on <absolute acces> with the Data Type format "Word".
And then it doesn't work :(
