A Datablock is designed to hold DATA, not program code. So you can insert registers of data type S5Time or Time as part of a datablock, yes, as initialisation values for the timers you will use in your code for example. Or you can build a multi-instance datablock that will include all data from IEC-timer SFBs (SFB0, SFB1, SFB2), that is the instance DBs of these blocks will be loaded in a single datablock so they can be located easily in one block. But if you mean can a datablock contain the code of a timer, you are mixing block types and usage. Kindly find the attached PDF for your reference. in one of our project we are using this DB address in SCADA I/O field to enter the time through SCADA. Now when we enter some values in the i/o field, in the plc logic it is taking it in milliseconds whereas i need it in seconds. how can i do this? Help me out please Attachment DB8.pdf (489 Downloads)

Dear shazin, The content of the TIME-variable is always milliseconds. It's just a matter of of formatation, if you see days / hours / minutes / seconds or milliseconds. If you have a value in seconds and want to store it in a TIME-variable, you have to multiply the value with 1000. manual The contents of an operand of the data type TIME is interpreted as milliseconds. The representation contains information for days (d), hours (h), minutes (m), seconds (s) and milliseconds (ms). Hope this helps! Best regards, yy1
