If you are trying to use a timer, that would also be a different instruction block, like TON, TOF. Hello, The user is using SIMATIC Timers.S/he is using "%T1" and it is a normal notation for SIMATIC Timers for S7 300/400(and S7 1500).There are big problems with his/her solution: For a word you should set aside 2 words i.e MW0 for BI output and MW2 for BCD output. In my point of view, using same memory bits for command and reseting the timer is not wise.They are overwritten by program in next line and an unexpected malfunction (behavior) may happen. MW0 occupies byte 0 & 1, so MW1 is already partially used. Try to stick to portal's suggested new memory address and create tags, and let portal assign the next available memory address that supports the required size. In other words, instead of using memory address, instead, type a tag name that represents what you want that to mean or do. Let portal suggest the address. This works very well 99% of the time. The rare times it does not work are working with legacy s7 or non-Siemens devices, for example.
