Timer issue!

UNIQL Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi! I've got some problem with timers in Tia Portal. As you can see at the attached picture, the timer, i'm using in a FB, doesn't start, but the requirements are fullfilled. What's the problem? I've gone online, and forced the in/outputs, to simulate my program. These blocks are from a FB, i've tried to write a same FC, but it seems to be not working either. Can anybody help? Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, I believe the biggest problem that you don't get an answere is time is: You have postet your question in the correct forum. You ask for help for S7-1200 but you have posted your question in the LOGO! forum. Let see how long it will take ;-))))

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 1/23/2025 Posts: 15549 Rating: (2467)	Is DB13 unique in your PLC program logic? Try this... delete the timer reference (IEC_Timer_0_DB_6). Then have the portal prompt you for the timer name, and let it auto-select a default name. Compile, download, and test. Try paralleling your #"CLOSE Timer Out" output with a physical output on the plc so you can see the light come on when the 20s time elapses. Sometimes the portal's visual presentation is not exactly the same as in the real world (where the outputs actually do something).

ELMED - Branislav Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have solved timer problem by resetting CPU to factory settings and then downloading project to CPU again. After that operation timer is working. Maybe problem is appear because I have added that timer after downloading project in CPU.
