Hi, Many customer ask us about how to configure “control windows” (also named as "pop up window", "faceplate window" or "control window"). Even in simple process or machines, controlled from HMI’s, the use of control windows could be an important feature. Despite of the HMI don’t have an specific object to act as control window it is possible to build control windows with common objects and features (like multiplexed tags). An overview of the features of WinCC V13 Advanced is available in the product manual, under http://support.automation.siemens.com/BR/view/en/91479053. The chapter "10.2.2.3 Configuring Tags" deals with the configuration of tags, including multiplexing with absolute and symbolic address (refer to topics "Address multiplexing", "Configuring address multiplexing with absolute addressing" and "Configuring address multiplexing with symbolic addressing"). Example of use could be found in FAQ “Example Blocks for STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and WinCC (TIA Portal) (for S7-1200 and S7-1500 with SCL)” sob link http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/66839614.Attached there is an simple example / pdf that shows how create this feature.
