In this TIP I post a very simple WinCC Unified Performance Insight sample example.

WinCC Unified Performance Insight is a WinCC Unified add-on package, that belongs to the Plant Intelligence Options (Delivery release SIMATIC WinCC Unified Plant Intelligence Options V16) . It’s used to show KPI in a comprehensive way.

• TIA (STEP 7, WinCC Unified)
• WinCC Unified Performance Insight   add-on pagackage

Configuration sequence:

(overview extracted from Information System, subfolder Basics > Configuration concept and from Configuring sequences (RT Unified) – clearer):

Planning:

• Define equipment and machines whose data is visualized with Performance Insight as plant object types.
• You map the plant structure in the plant hierarchy.

Basic settings:

• You connect the HMI device to the plant hierarchy.
• Create interface variables in the plant object types. (Depending of the case, one for source, one for target)
• Create a log on the HMI device.
• Define logging tags for interface tags.

In the Plant Objects (view), common data:

• You configure global operands to transfer the process data for calculating KPIs.
• You plan and define global KPIs. To calculate the KPIs from the process data, configure the KPI formulas.
• To log and efficiently compare KPIs, define calculation cycles.

In the plant objects (view),

Dividing the screen between Plant Objetc Types (right menu), Plant object types properties, Performance object tab and common data, performance indicators.

• Assign (drag & drop) the performance indicators (global operands, global KPI, etc.) to the Object Types. Link the operands to the object variables.

In screen:

• Place the objects ( toolbox, my controls) in the screen

In Runtime:

• In configure the objects to display the desired information.
