TIP: STEP7 V12 SP1 - Cross reference view for overlapping accesses of defined elements

Hi,

Is a very common cause for “ghost effects” comes from overlapping accesses of single variable (for example a bit that is also wrote as word).

In this context, one of the innovations of the SP1 for STEP7 V12 (Released for Delivery at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/76276623) is the possibility to get a cross reference view for overlapping accesses.

TIP: this cross reference works with arrays and struct (defined elements as a whole, e.g for optimized DB); not for absolute address.

The attached simple cast shows what it works.
