Tisoft XSUB for communication to SIMATIC HMI MP370

Dear Simatic 505 fans,

i got a Tisoft program from a user that uses an XSUB1 to communicate to an MP370 HMI panel via the RS232 serial port.The MP370 HMI has most probably been configured with Protool Pro HMI software.

An XSUB is a very special block in Tisoft that is developed in C programming language and compiled to executable code. It was only rarely used.

i assume that this XSUB1 has been developed by the Siemens engineering team that has worked on the development of  ProtoolPro in order to optimize the communication between the MP370 and the TI505 CPU's.

I'd like to understand how this XSUB1 is working and i've been searching in the ProtoolPro documentation but i haven't found any documentation on this XSUB.

Would anyone be able to help to get this documentation for XSUB1 for serial communication ?

P.S.  i found a reference to a document called

Would anyone still have this document ? Perhaps on a Protool 5.2 CD ?

It appears my assessment of the function of this XSUB1 was completely wrong. 

it doesn't have anything to do with communication to the MP370 panel via RS232 serial connection.

When connecting serially to an MP370 HMI panel no XSUB or any special program is needed.

This XSUB was used to configure PID loops.  This was probably done for performance reasons.

in more recent TI545 / TI555 and CTI 2500 CPU's PID Loops are integrated as a standard function and there is no reason to use this XSUB for PID loop execution.

To whom it may concern attached is a description of the functioning of this XSUB.

I do not recommend to use this for new implementations.
